Sun Chemical releases new packaging ink

Ink manufacturer Sun Chemical has developed a range of four-colour process sheetfed offset inks for packaging and commercial printers.

The firm said the Sun Chemical Diamond range maintains a fast setting and offers low misting, lithographic stability at all speeds, high quality dot reproduction and fount stability.

Sun Chemical added that the ink setting process is also quicker than other comparable products.

The Diamond inks are mineral-oil free, based on 70-80% sustainable material, depending on the colour, and will run with low or no alcohol.

They also meet ISO2846:1 and ISO12647:2 standards.

Sun Chemical marketing director for the UK & Ireland, Emma Isichei, said: "Sun Chemical Diamond will provide the market with a consistent, high-quality product that uses a secured source of raw materials, while respecting the environmental challenges that face the whole printing industry."
