Wewow launches WowWallet

CD and DVD replication company Wewow hopes to overcome the environmental concerns of musicians with the launch of the WowWallet presentation case.

Bradford-based Wewow has manufactured the WowWallet from 100% recycled 285gsm brown board as an alternative to the traditional plastic jewel case.

No plastic is used in the manufacture of the pack so it can be recycled again.

The pack, which can be printed on FSC-accredited board, can be produced for short runs of 50-plus items as well as longer runs for larger clients.

A couple of bands have already used the pack for music samplers, but the full launch to Wewow's 10,000-strong client base will be in January 2009.

Managing director Stuart Jones said: "With environmental concerns becoming increasingly important to many companies, musicians and individuals, it is vital to make eco-friendly packaging options accessible to customers."

Wewow launched the cartonboard Wowpak in March 2008 and is set to launch a third eco-friendly disc package in the new year.
