Cadbury's foil-wrapped Easter eggs win Green Award

Cadbury has won a Best Green Packaging award for its foil-wrapped eco Easter eggs at the Green Awards.

The Treasure eggs, which were sold in just a foil wrap with a retail ready tray to display them on shelf, were launched by Cadbury as a trial for Easter 2008 and won the Best Green Packaging over 50k award.

In the Best Green Packaging under 50k category, Lush won for its Squeaky Green solid shampoo and conditioner, which uses no packaging at all.

Yali Wines, by Vina Ventisquero, were highly commended in the over 50k category, with Speedo's new goggle packaging, which moved goggles from plastic to recycled cardboard, making the shortlist.

Adare & Angus Soft Fruits' recyclable packaging was highly commended in the under 50k category.
