June on packagingnews.co.uk: RFID threat tops Packaging Strategy as most-read story

News of a threat to RFID from a new edible tag has pipped Defra's packaging strategy as the top-read story on packagingnews.co.uk in the past month.

The TruTag, revealed at the end of May, is a silica tag that can be used to track and trace individual pills and check their authenticity through the supply chain.

The story beat news of environment minister Hilary Benn's new Packaging Strategy to the most-read spot, while Linpac's debt refinancing and the fire at Skymark Packaging were third and fourth.

June was also dominated by the weekly updates on this year's Power 50 - the top 10 is published today.
