Elliott Packaging benefits from online shopping boom

Consumers choosing to buy goods online has led mailing and carrier bag specialist Elliott Packaging to its most successful year ever.

The Cheshire-based company manufactures bespoke mailing bags as well as carrier bags and pouches for customers within Europe and said that, despite the current economic climate it was having its "most successful year to date".

Elliott Packaging director Nick Elliott told Packaging News that the boom in online shopping had been "bubbling away for a few years" and was still growing.

Elliott added that the company has also been successful at getting its name out there on search engines and "kept an eye on who we are giving credit to".

"The boom in the online mail order market has certainly played a big part in the growth of our business," he said.

"We are able to respond quickly to our customers' demands and have the technical experience to be able to offer the right product at the right price."
